Therapy for Young Adults & Midlife Women in Transition
You've been holding it together for a long time. It's okay to put some of it down... I'm here to help.
You may find yourself asking:
Will I be okay if life isn’t unfolding the way I expected?
Why does everything feel harder to manage than it used to?
How do I move forward when I can’t fully picture what comes next?
Can I still love my life when the roles and relationships I rely on are changing?
Welcome
I’m Emma Worth, LICSW, LCSW.
I specialize in working with young adults and midlife women navigating periods of uncertainty, transition, and emotional overwhelm.
I support people through these difficult periods when anxiety, fear, self-doubt, self-criticism, old emotional wounds, and questions about identity may begin to surface.
I’m here to meet you where you are and support your building a life that you love, and one that you can be PROUD of.
My approach is integrative and grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Self-compassion. I work virtually with individuals and couples and am licensed in Massachusetts and New York.

"Working with Emma has been one of the best decisions we've ever made for our relationship. When we first started, we were stuck, talking past each other, carrying years of frustration, and unsure if things could really change. Emma gave us the tools to truly see and hear each other again. We learned how to speak to one another with honesty and care, even when the conversations were hard. For the first time in a long time, we felt like we were on the same team. Our relationship is stronger now than it has been in years, and we're grateful every day for the work we did together. Emma helped us find our way back to each other, and we can't recommend her enough."- Client, Couples Therapy
"I greatly appreciate Emma’s gentle and thoughtful attention, and deftness in helping me find my way through a variety of personal challenges and life transitions. With great warmth, sensitivity, and discernment, Emma has helped me identify and work with aspects of myself that have limited my ability to fully show up in the world. Through my work with her, I have developed more familiarity with parts of myself that have previously languished for years abandoned or overlooked. Our work has allowed me to create new possibilities in my relationships and in my day-to-day life that bring me a feeling of being more authentically myself, calm, and open, rather than caught up in what I imagine others expect of me and limited by my impulses and assumptions. Our work has brought me many gifts, from letting go of the feeling of being “behind” in life to developing greater comfort with, and even enthusiasm for, the uncertainties that lay ahead. "- Client
"I am forever thankful to Emma for her talent and care. Emma is an excellent therapist who positively changed my life significantly by helping me shift my mindset, examine my assumptions, and adjust my behaviors. As a result of my work with her, all of my relationships, personally and professionally, have dramatically improved. Most importantly, my relationship with myself is much improved, thanks to her focus on self-compassion and self-awareness. Emma is an excellent listener, asks thought-provoking questions, and uses personable and compassionate communication to build the trust necessary to grow in these critical ways. "- Client
"I have enjoyed working with Emma and would highly recommend her as a therapist! She balances skills and coaching with deep internal exploration. Emma has helped me navigate graduate school, marriage, job transitions, and parent-hood, all while providing a safe space for a LGBTQ+ person in a chaotic world."- Client
"I feel so fortunate to have found Emma and to have grown under the warmth of her care and guidance. She is patient, kind, attuned, and intentional. I have learned to show that same patience and kindness to myself as a result of her unwavering empathy. I have also been able to integrate difficult truths and self-understandings with increased gentleness that allows me to move through the world with less fear, and for that I am so grateful to her."- Client
